Founder's Message

My name is Toshio Mabi, I am the founder of IDENT.

I have been part of the web since its early days — long before profiles, platforms, metrics, and feeds became the default way to exist online, back when publishing meant taking responsibility for what you put out, and identity was something you declared, never inferred.

Over the years, I watched the web change.

What remained missing was something surprisingly simple: a stable, human-declared anchor that could outlive infrastructure.

IDENT was born from a personal need.

I wanted a place where an identity could exist independently from websites, platforms, trends, or algorithms.

A place where a name could be claimed clearly, linked responsibly, and preserved over time.

A place where identity was not a profile, not a performance, and not a negotiation.

By separating identity from operational infrastructure, something important becomes possible.

An IDENT record remains.
Not because it is loud or optimized, but because it is intentionally declared and maintained.

IDENT does not attempt to replace websites or social presence.
It exists above them — quietly — as a point of continuity.
It gives humans and machines a clear answer when ambiguity would otherwise take over.

I built IDENT first for myself and my projects.
Only later did it become clear that this was not a private solution, but a structural one — something the web itself was missing.

IDENT is offered openly, not as a platform, but as a shared registry of declared identity. Minimal by design. Durable by intent.

I hope that as many individuals and organizations as possible can make use of IDENT.
