Born in Naples, Nicola Campanelli is a former lawyer, dancer, journalist, and writer now living in Barcelon.
After publishing his debut novel Confessions of a Good Boy (Dante & Descartes, Naples, 2011), he left Italy and his legal career for Berlin in 2013.
There, he authored Sasha Waltz & Guests: 30 Years of Creativity in Dance (Smith Editore, Florence, 2023), Tel Aviv Diary: Following the Rainbow's Trail (Robin Editore, Turin, 2023), and Night Sun (Smith Editore, Florence, 2020).
His short stories appear in anthologies from Gli Ori (Pistoia, 2023), Smith Editore (Florence, 2022), Oxp (Naples), and he won the "Racconti a Tavola" contest (Historica, Cesena, 2018).
From 2011-2018, he ran the column My Life in Berlin for Feireiss das Magazin.
A registered journalist since 2018, he contributes to OXP (Università Orientale di Napoli), Campadidanza magazine, and the German bimonthly Dance for You.
