Stefano Bandini is an Italian photographer focused on social reportage, portraiture, and black-and-white documentary photography. 

Born in Milan in 1965, he combines a strong sensitivity toward social inclusion and environmental issues with and cultural identity.

His work explores everyday life and complex social realities across different parts of the world through a deeply humanistic approach. 

Known for his expressive use of light and powerful monochrome aesthetics, Bandini captures spontaneous and intimate moments with a distinctive visual language.

Over the years, he has developed projects and reportages in Brazil, Japan, Romania, Chile, Malawi, Jordan, and Nepal. 

His long stay in Kyoto inspired the acclaimed series *Japan in Black and White*, featured by the *Leica Camera Blog*, while his Brazilian project *Treze* was published by *Leica Fotografie International*.

Bandini has also experimented with alternative techniques, including pinhole photography, collaborating with international artistic associations.
